Facilities
a. Class Rooms
In the Main Campus the college has 22 class rooms of different sizes including those attached with laboratories.
b. Libraries
The College has two highly updated computerized libraries.
The Library Hall in the Main Campus consists of the seminar libraries of mainly the ARTS departments having mainly reference books, seven departmental cubicles complete with necessary furnishings, reading and writing materials, photocopier and computers with internet connections and reading facilities for both teachers and students. Floor area: 1300 sq. ft. Number of books: 1000 (approximately).


Working hours as per college hours.

The Library in the Second Campus consists of two floors having books of all departments. Its main function is to issue and receive books to and from both staff and students. Reading facilities are also available. Floor area: 4000 sq. ft. Number of books is more than 21000.
Working hours: 9 AM to 15 PM.
c. Auditorium
The college auditorium is situated in the Second Campus with a floor area of 2000 sq. ft. Complete with all necessary air-conditioning and audio visual arrangements it is a multipurpose hall which can be used both as auditorium and seminar room. Audience capacity 100.
d. Computer and Language Lab
Housed in the Second Campus, this section is mainly designed to educate and train our students in the modern methods of language studies and linguistics. As we offer both honours and elective/general courses in Bengali, Hindi, English and Sanskrit, this section caters to the requirements of a wide number of students. The section is fully equipped with computers and all necessary equipments and accessories. This Lab is of immense research and other functional potentialities in today’s scenario.larships
e. Common Room
The students’ common room in the main campus is about 1000 sq. ft floor area. It is designed to provide our students with short-time indoor games such as TT, Carom Boards etc., newspapers and appropriate magazines and small time get together facilities. It is used by the students for preparing for diverse programs organized and performed in the college.
f. Sports Ground
The large court yard at the Second Campus is utilized for such sports and games as Badminton, Volley ball, Kabadi, Kho-Kho and other athletics. As there is no space in the Main Campus for outdoor sports and games, we try to use the Second Campus for such purposes to the best of our ability.

g. Yoga Center
The yoga center of the college complete with al necessary infrastructure including trainers, physiotherapist and equipments is situated in the Second Campus and the students are encouraged to avail the facilities therein to ensure uplift of their physical and mental health.

h. Health Care
Health care facilities to students are available to students in-campus as well as off-campus.

In Campus (Main Campus) : The following facilities are available:

  • Periodic health camps and medical checkups by competent physicians.
  • Periodic counseling by professional counselors to prepare students to meet individual problems and problems in relation to domestic and social relations.

Off Campus :

  • Students’ Health Service and University Health Centre run by the Board of Health of C.U in Goenka Hospital at Muktaram Babu Street, very closed to our college offer specialized medical treatments.
  • The Students’ Health Home offer the following medical treatments to students free of cost on Principal’s recommendations at its complex located at 142/2 A.J.C Bose Road (South of Nilratan Sircar Medical College) after one month from their date of admission onwards:
    --- Free medical examination and advice at its clinic.
    --- Laboratory examination of blood, sputum etc. at Rs. 5/ per sample.
    --- Radiological investigation at its X-Ray department
    --- All kinds of prescribed medicines and spectacles, if required, provided at subsidized rate.
    --- Hospitalization facility in different hospitals of the city.
    --- Free medical care and treatment of T.B. affected students in sanatoria.

j. Career Counseling and Placement Cells
The college has a Career Counseling Cell and offers necessary counseling to the students according to their capabilities, orientations and aptitude. The cell has an office in our Second Campus equipped with all necessary technological backup and database to guide our students to chose from a wide ranging career opportunities. This cell functions in tandem with the Placement Cell, which also has its office at the Second Campus. Thanks to these two cells, quite a large number of our students have secured placements in educational institutions, both Govt. and non-Govt. offices, hospitals and clinics etc. A large number of our students have become professionals.

k. Anti ragging cell
The college has an anti-ragging cell. Ragging in all forms are strictly prohibited and is/are punishable under relevant regulations of Indian Penal Code.

l. Bank
The college banks with Bank of Baroda, College Street Branch, Kolkata 700 006. Submission of all students’ fees are made at the said bank. The students may open their own SB accounts in this bank on college recommendation.
