Over the years Vidyasagar College for Women has been devoted to developing its students into young citizens of wisdom committed to pursuing excellence. This college is a temple of learning and as the Principal of this college it is my responsibility to maintain its sanctity. Education is a blend of academic excellence and creativity and my earnest desire is to encourage a conducive academic environment in the college so that every student is empowered to develop and grow creatively and innovatively. Education is that light which drives away the darkness of ignorance and illuminates us to walk the path of righteousness and honest action. Discipline, values and integrity are the foundation of this Institution. Our vision is to produce conscientious, confident citizens of India who will go out into the world and make us proud. Effective teaching is an amalgamation of imparting knowledge as well as contributing to the all-round development of personality of our students. Behavioural discipline, moral integrity and cognitive development of our students is the aim and objective of this college. The ultimate goal of education is to help an individual grow into a complete human endowed with all the humane qualities of empathy which will gradually make the society a better place. In order to impart proper education to our students I am prepared to take as much effort as possible for the academic development of the institution. And in this journey I am not alone. My teachers and staff are dedicated to this cause giving their best to shape the lives of thousands of students who are admitted in the college continuously working for their growth with a sense of commitment to meet the expectations of our students. It is my utmost concern that I should be able to provide that environment in the college so that our students may have the opportunity for emotional growth along with intellectual excellence. I want to empower my students so that they develop self - esteem, self - awareness and self - confidence. I will continue to work relentlessly to maintain the legacy of the college by ensuring strong relationships with my teachers, students, staff and also parents of my students. I am certain that all my students and staff will carry forward the heritage of high values of this college which I entrust in their hands. Since I have taken up the responsibility of leading the institution to new heights of academic excellence, I will make every attempt to overcome the challenges faced by the institution providing leadership to all the stakeholders inkeeping with the vision and passion of the founding members of the college. I believe that if I have to go fast, I can walk alone, but if I have to go far, then I have to walk with my team. I have miles to go before I realize my dream of empowering our students through education and I hope to get cooperation from my staff to realize my dream. With these words I end my message here welcoming the fresh batch of young souls into the college in this academic session.
