1. When the candidate has studied the Subject/ Related subject in the previous qualifying Examination, i.e., 10+2: For the purpose of Merit Index calculation to determine the eligibility for admission to the B.A./B.Sc./ (Single-Major) Courses, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks obtained in top-four subjects and the marks obtained in the Subject/Related subject, which is opted as the Major subject in order of marks secured by a student. |

When the candidate has not studied the Subject/ Related subject in the previous qualifying Examination, i.e., 10+2: For the purpose of Merit Index calculation to determine the eligibility for admission to the B.A./B.Sc. (Single-Major) Courses, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks obtained in top-four subjects only. |

| Note: However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. However, if the subject "Environmental Science" is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks. | |

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of merit point.
If more than one candidates get the same merit-point then the concerned subject marks which is added (if any) with best four marks for calculation of merit point will be considered for preparing merit list.
If canididates tie again then the Applicant who had applied earlier will be given preference.
